Bud - New Jersey - Olds Omega - Profile

Bud McNasby is 32 years old and lives in Erial, N.J. with his wife of 11 1/2 years Rita and their German Shepard named Q-jet. He has been racing since 1986 and his hometrack is Atco Raceway. He races a 1973 Oldsmobile Omega with a 455 engine. The car has a Holley Pro-Jection system and has run a best of 11.63 @ 114.6 mph with a 60 ft. time of 1.63 deep staged. The name of the car is "Somethin' Else" and the rest of the profile goes like this. I built the car myself. My sponsors are Mahler Racing Engines who did all of the machine work. Maaco Auto Body of Turnersville & Delran, N.J. did all the body work and paint. I have won Heavy Track Championships at Atco in '93, '94, '95 and '96. I finished in the top 10 every year since I started running points in '90 with the exception of '99. I also finished 5th at Cecil County in '94 and 5th at Englishtown in '96. I won the Atco Race of Champions in '93 and also won the BRUSA race at Englishtown in'96. I also won the last ever Kendall Cup race in '91 which was a race between Englishtown's top 32 and Atco's top 32 drivers beating good friend Sal Biondo in the final and won a $2500.00 gamblers race (all electronics allowed) beating my other good friend Peter Biondo in the other final. These were both in the same day. My most cherished accomplishment to date is my '95 Division 1 Race of Champions win. I don't use any electronics and never have. I don't even use a line lock. I'm going to be building an NHRA Stock Eliminator car starting this year. I have raced with / against a lot of the members on your list and look forward to seeing / meeting everyone at the big races this year.
This is quite a profile Bud and most of all I love how you signed your letter,
"Bottom Bulb" Bud McNasby
