On Wednesday, December 8, 2004 at INOVA Alexandria Hospital he entered into eternal peace. He leaves to cherish and mourn his memories his devoted wife of 29 years, June C.; children, Wendy C., Esa (Gene) and Damon; grandchildren, Monche, Patrice, Jahvon and Malik; his mother, Evelyn Cofield Brooks; sister, Valerie Cofield (Clayton) Bloomfield; brothers Bernard (Janie) Cofield, Jr., Jerome (Senitra) Cofield and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Arvell (Ricky) Williams, his brother, Anthony Cofield Sr. and step-father, Bernard Cofield Sr. Services will be held at the Peoples Church, 535 8th St. S.E., Washington, D.C. 20003 on Tuesday, December 14, 2004 from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Interment Quantico National Veterans Cemetery, Quantico, VA.
